The two certificates

Certificate of compliance

Issued when your pool barrier complies with the Swimming Pools Act 1992 (NSW), the Swimming Pools Regulation 2018 and the applicable Australian Standard.

Certificate of non-compliance

Issued when the barrier doesn’t comply yet. It comes with a clear, detailed report of what needs attention, and Chris gives practical advice until compliance is achieved.

Once the work is done, book a re-inspection for $199.

What your barrier is assessed against

The outcome depends on how your barrier measures up to NSW legislation and the Australian Standard that applies to your pool.

  • Swimming Pools Act 1992 (NSW)
  • Swimming Pools Regulation 2018
  • The applicable Australian StandardFor example AS 1926.1. Which standard applies depends on your pool’s age and any alterations.
